First, the main features of precision welded pipe
With precise geometrical dimensions, uniform lateral wall thickness, good shape of steel pipe, small ovality, reliable weld quality, small internal burrs, smooth outer surface, heat treatment of welded steel pipe or protective atmosphere, it can achieve oxygen-free surface. The mechanical properties are stable and the metallographic structure is uniform. The production cost is much lower than that of similar seamless precision steel pipes. The production process of precision welded pipes varies slightly with different production methods, but the production process of forming welded parts is basically the same, and the difference is only in the later steps. The typical production process is as follows:

2 Production equipment:
In the typical three production process, the main equipment of the pipe, the cold forming machine of the welded pipe forming unit, the cold rolling unit and the cold reducing unit have a decisive effect on the precision welded pipe forming, but there are many types of equipment for precision welding control pipes. The scope is large and the technical performance requirements are different. It must be properly configured to meet the quality requirements of precision welded pipes.
2.1 Weld pipe manufacturing stage:
Strip preparation - bench rack or chain conveyor
Unwinding - cantilever or double cone unwinder
Strip leveling - roll leveler
Shear - oblique blade shear
Butt welding - butt welding machine
Looper storage - looper (box, cage, screw, tunnel, etc.)
Milling edge planing---milling edge planing machine
Forming - continuous forming machine (roller, row roll, FF forming, etc.)
Welding - high frequency induction or contact heating welding device
Clearing burrs - internal and external deburring devices (both inline and out of line)
Weld heat treatment - medium frequency linear induction heating device (or overall heat treatment of steel pipe)
Cooling - air cooling and cooling water jacket
Sizing - continuous sizing machine (roller type)
Non-destructive testing - ultrasonic or eddy current testing equipment
Flying shears - flying shears (punching, rolling, sawing, milling, etc.)
Straightening - roll straightening machine (five to seven rolls)
Cut flat head - cutting machine and flat head machine and stepping frame
Eddy current flaw detection - eddy current flaw detector (instead of hydraulic test)
Hydraulic test - hydraulic test tube machine (single or multiple)
2.2 Cold drawn cold rolling stage:
Rolling head - rolling head or hammer machine
Intermediate heat treatment - continuous roll annealing furnace.
Pickling, cleaning - pickling, washing tanks and flushing facilities
Phosphating, saponification - phosphating, saponification pool
Cold drawing - cold drawing unit
Lubrication - lubrication pool
Cold rolling - roll cold rolling mill
Finished heat treatment - protective atmosphere heat treatment furnace (chamber or roller bottom)
2.3 Cold reduction stage:
Cold reduction – cold reduction unit (two or three-roll cold reduction unit frame is configured according to total deformation)
Due to the variety, size and technical requirements of precision welded pipes, the production process and process are different. Some processes take a long time, some processes are short in time, so the production process is prone to imbalance, and a buffer is needed. In order to make the production go smoothly and minimize the weak links, about 90% of the precision welded pipe products have to go through the intermediate warehouse to balance the production capacity.
