Timely zinc supplementation to prevent rice seedlings

Zinc deficiency in the soil, rice will appear in different degrees of dead seedlings. Rice seedlings caused by zinc deficiency occur more than 2-3 weeks after transplanting. Initially, the base of the heart leaves was chlorotic and whitish. Later, irregular brown spots appeared on both sides of the middle and lower leaves, and gradually expanded into reddish brown streaks. In severe cases, brown spots spread to the sheath and stem. The occurrence of lesions on plants generally occurs from the lower leaves to the upper leaves. The zinc-deficient rice plant has a slow leaflet speed, and the heart leaf is short and narrow. The lower old leaf becomes brittle, undercoat, easy to break, the root is aging, and the new root is less. The occipital distance of the seriously diseased plant is shortened or dislocated, and it is obviously dwarfed, with few tillers and uneven growth in the field.
For paddy fields with obvious zinc deficiency or zinc deficiency, supplementation of zinc fertilizer can reduce dead seedlings. Zinc fertilizer base, root and leaf spray can be applied. Before transplanting rice, apply 1-2 kg of zinc sulfate per acre of field; use 1% zinc oxide suspension for rooting during transplanting; spray concentration for 3-5 days before transplanting and 5-7 days after transplanting 0.1-0.2% zinc sulfate solution once.
