The six exhibition arrangements of ASEAN Furniture Committee in six countries in Southeast Asia

 

The AFIC ASEAN Furniture Inds. Council (AFIC) was established in 1978 and is a regional trade organization dedicated to promoting the development of the ASEAN furniture industry. Its members include furniture manufacturers representing ASEAN countries recognized by the Chamber of Commerce in ASEAN .

Furniture fans learned that the current members of the AFIC ASEAN Furniture Committee include: ASMINDO Indonesian Furniture Trade Union, Malaysian Furniture Industry Association, Myanmar Wood Merchants Association, Philippine Furniture Industry Business Association, Singapore Furniture Industry Council, Thailand Furniture Industry Club-Thailand Industrial Association, and the Vietnam HAWA Handicraft and Wood Industry Association. The Chairman and Secretary General of the Rotating Committee from 2013 to 2014 is Indonesia.

 

Furniture fans learned that in 2014, the organization will adopt the theme "Excellent Southeast Asian Design Starts Here-Six Cities, 2 Weeks, Same Design Goal" (Great ASEAN Design Starts Here-Six cities. Two weeks. One destination for design) touring trade show, to achieve the purpose of promoting the development of furniture trade in Southeast Asia.

 

To this end, the AFIC ASEAN Furniture Committee has launched six exhibition arrangements in six countries in Southeast Asia, and the exhibition schedule is very compact.

 

The schedule and countries of these six furniture exhibitions are: Malaysian Export Furniture Exhibition held in Kuala Lumpur from March 5th to 8th, 2014; Vietnam International Furniture & Home Accessories Expo held in Ho Chi Minh City from March 11th to 14th; Thailand International Furniture Fair held in Bangkok from March 12 to 16; Singapore International Commodities Fair from March 13 to 16; Indonesian International Furniture & Craft Fair held in Jakarta from March 14 to 17, and Philippine International Furniture Fair held in Manila from March 14th to 17th.
