Recently, the 30,000-ton/year catalytic wet oxidation treatment saccharin production wastewater plant built by the Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, was provided with catalysts and process technology. It was successfully driven by Tianjin Northern Foods Co., Ltd. This is the successor of Shenzhen Hazardous Waste Treatment Station Co., Ltd. (processing scale: 0.8 million tons/year, started in January 2007) and Wanhua Chemical Group Co., Ltd. (processing scale: 16,000 tons/year, 2013 1 Monthly drive) A further development after catalytic wet oxidation of high concentration refractory organic wastewater.
This set of equipment is for high concentration of difficult to degrade saccharin production wastewater of 1-3 million mg/L COD (chemical oxygen demand), the COD removal rate is as high as 90-95%, and the COD emission reduction is equivalent to 3 million tons/year of domestic sewage. The treatment plant has the advantages of small footprint, high COD removal rate, high biodegradability of the effluent and self-heating during the treatment process, and significant energy saving effect. Among them, the catalyst and process technology were developed by Dalian Institute of Chemical Industry, and the process design was undertaken by Dalian Dahua Engineering Design Co., Ltd. It is currently the largest domestic device that uses an independently developed catalyst to treat high-concentration refractory organic wastewater.
Tianjin Northern Foods Co., Ltd. is a professional manufacturer of food additives and is one of the five national designated saccharin production companies approved by the National Development and Reform Commission. The saccharin production process has many types of raw materials and complicated processes. Therefore, the discharged wastewater components are complex, and the COD is high and the color depth is high. It belongs to the high-concentration refractory organic wastewater, and the treatment of saccharin production wastewater has always restricted the production scale of the company. In December 2013, Tianjin Northern Foods Co., Ltd. commissioned Dalian Institute of Chemical Industry to carry out small-scale trials and industrialization of its saccharin production wastewater.
