Abstract: In 2010, China's machine tool industry began to “recoverâ€, and the import and export range showed an upward trend. In 2011, following the good situation of last year, the industry market was still hot, and orders continued to increase, but some contradictions were highlighted: the shortage of parts and components was serious; imports continued to rise at a high speed; machine tool products exported to emerging markets showed a substantial increase year-on-year.
According to the report of "China Machine Tool", in the first quarter of 2011, the economic completion index of our machine tool industry was relatively good. In the first quarter, the machine tool industry completed a total industrial output value of 129.40 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 38.1%. The machine tool industry has completed a total sales value of 126.43 billion yuan, an increase of 39.2%. The sales rate of industrial products in the machine tool industry reached 97.7%, an increase of 0.7 percentage points over the same period of the previous year. The machine tool industry achieved a profit of 4.6 billion yuan, an increase of 53.2% over the same period of last year; the output value margin was 5.9%, an increase of 0.6 percentage points year-on-year (1-2 month data). In the current period, the cumulative value of fixed assets investment in the machine tool industry increased by 49.8%.
From the perspective of industry development in the first quarter of 2011, the machine tool industry may still have the following development trends:
1. Production and sales continue to grow rapidly. The machine tool industry has grown rapidly in the first half of the year. From the first quarter of this year alone, the total industrial output value and product sales value of the machine tool industry were higher than the same period of the previous year, both exceeding 120 billion yuan, an increase of more than 38%. The sales rate of industrial products in the machine tool industry reached 97.7%, an increase of 0.7 percentage points over the same period of the previous year.
Therefore, in the next six months, it should maintain a hot development trend.
2. Corporate profit margins may increase. Although the prices of materials, parts, fuel power, labor, and freight continue to increase in the recent period, the cost of enterprises continues to increase, but the industry will still ensure the growth of profit margins. The main factors are as follows: First, some Enterprises adjust prices according to market demand in a timely manner; second, orders are full, production capacity is fully utilized, and fixed costs per unit are reduced; third, enterprises strengthen management and strictly control costs.
3. Orders continue to grow. From the development momentum of the first three months of this year, industry companies fully reflected that the demand for products was in short supply. At the end of March, orders in hand reached 30.91 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 36.3%.
The demand for the market and the guidance of profits are likely to increase the number of orders in the industry.
4. Import dependence is serious. Metal cutting machine tools, metal forming machine tools, and numerical control devices are the three major import products of machine tools, with year-on-year growth of 71.5%, 73.4%, and 58.0%, respectively. As some high-end technologies in China are not developed, they are heavily dependent on imports. As the orders grow, the proportion of imports will also increase.
At present, the market has been growing at a super high speed for more than a year. In 2010, 50% of global metal processing machine tools were consumed in China, and the situation is very good. However, we still hope that major enterprises should seize the opportunity to seek development, and should formulate a viable five-year plan based on the overall strategy of the company to make the enterprise bigger and stronger.
