A: Lightning protection classification of buildings:

7. Buildings with explosion hazard in Zone 2 or Zone 22.

8. An open-air steel closed gas tank with explosion hazard.

9. Departments, provincial office buildings and other important or densely populated public buildings and fire hazard sites where the number of lightning strikes is expected to be greater than 0.05 times per year.

10. General civil buildings or general industrial buildings such as houses and office buildings where the number of lightning strikes is expected to be more than 0.25 times per year.

3. In areas where lightning strikes may occur, one of the following situations shall be classified as a third type of lightning protection structure:

1. Provincial-level key cultural relic protection buildings and provincial archives.

2. Departments, provincial-level office buildings and other important or densely populated public buildings and fire hazard locations where the number of lightning strikes is expected to be greater than or equal to 0.01 times/a and less than or equal to 0.05 times/a.

3. General civil buildings or general industrial buildings such as houses and office buildings where the number of lightning strikes is expected to be greater than or equal to 0.05 times/a and less than or equal to 0.25 times/a.

4. Isolated high-rise buildings such as chimneys and water towers with heights of 15 m or more in areas with an average thunderstorm day of more than 15 d/a; heights of 20 m or more in areas with an average thunderstorm day of 15 d/a or less Isolated tall buildings such as chimneys, water towers, etc.
