The EU recommends that PV modules be priced at €0.65/watt. However, the Chinese side expressed opposition and Jingao and Yingli will stop exporting PV modules to Europe in July. At the same time, Croatia’s accession to the European Union has started today as a back door for Chinese manufacturers to enter Europe.

We understand that the current China-EU PV trade dispute negotiation negotiations are negotiating the proposed price level of PV modules.

Familiar with the negotiators: The European delegation suggested a price of 0.65 euros / watt, but the Chinese government expressed disagreement.

The Chinese negotiator said that some German companies have sold less than 0.58 euros/watt of PV modules in Europe, and said China can accept the price of 0.5 US dollars / watt.

With the deadline for negotiations on August 5, the European side will impose a temporary penalty tariff of 11.8% on Chinese-made solar cells, modules and wafers, while the Chinese company will impose a double anti-tariff of 67.9%.

From the perspective of double anti-tariffs, we usually ignore the one side of the trade war: the EU will decide on August 5 that it will impose tariffs on PV modules that have received Chinese state subsidies. If the double-reverse fails to reach an agreement, then other tariffs will be imposed on Chinese companies, and the tariff prosecution period will be 90 days.
