There is an electromagnetic flowmeter on the site showing a low value. Measured medium is coarse salt water, and the pipeline must be stopped and cleaned within a certain period of time. Because the fouling of coarse salt water is very severe, it is suspected that the electromagnetic flowmeter electrode also has fouling, which leads to a low indication value. The on-site inspection of the ground is normal and there is no bubble in the medium, so there is only one reason that the electrode is fouled.

So why is the electrode fouling flowmeter low? Because it is coarse salt water, then the fouling component must be the accumulation of conductive substances. The conductivity of the fouling component is lower than the conductivity of the medium and it will cause the flow rate to change. As for why the display is too small, not too large? This will analyze the conductive properties of the foulants.

When the measured liquid contains metal, the electrode of the flowmeter is prone to short-circuit phenomenon, and the measured value of the flowmeter is obviously smaller or tends to zero.

When measuring high-viscosity media, because the medium is easy to attach and settle on the wall of the pipe, if the measured conductivity of the liquid is lower than the conductivity of the attached media, the signal potential of the electrode will be precipitated and shunted and will not work properly, resulting in an electrode short circuit phenomenon. ;

If the deposited medium is a non-conductive layer, it will cause the electrode open flow meter to not work properly.

If the oxidized iron rust layer adheres to the lining tube wall, or if the main component is a metal precipitate, its conductivity is greater than the liquid conductivity, and the actual flow rate value will be higher than the flow rate value measured by the flow meter;

If the precipitate is a scale layer such as calcium carbonate, the conductivity of the liquid to be measured is higher than the conductivity of the precipitate. As a result, the measured flow value will be smaller than the actual flow rate.

In this case, the electrode can only be cleaned, stopped cleaning or online cleaning, we will specifically introduce the electrode cleaning.
