According to the data released by the National Development and Reform Commission on September 23, the production and sales of the pharmaceutical industry continued to grow steadily from January to July 2011. Foreign trade grew rapidly, and the overall industry continued to show good momentum.

Data show that from January to July, the pharmaceutical industry realized an output value of 802.4 billion yuan, an increase of 29.6% year-on-year; the pharmaceutical industry overall production and sales rate was 95.2%, an increase of 1.2 percentage points over the same period of last year; the pharmaceutical industry cumulative import and export volume of 40.99 billion US dollars, year-on-year Increased by 40.1%.
