Recently, SunPower announced that it will use the solar monitoring application of Android smartphones to use its own SunPower Monitoring System.
SunPower chief marketing officer David Henry said: "With the SunPower monitoring system, customers can use their smartphones to monitor power generation and power usage anytime, anywhere to optimize their investment in solar energy. New monitoring tools can be operated online. Or by using mobile devices to achieve its functions, domestic households can track the effectiveness of power generation equipment anytime, anywhere."
With the Android application, household households can also monitor their own energy consumption, electricity consumption trends, and view the history of energy use.
Another big smart phone solar energy application system is the SunBlazer introduced by Genesis Electronics, which is a new product with a smart phone and a charger.
This new product is designed specifically for the iPhone 4, the sun can work or connected to USB. When the SunBlazer reaches a certain power level it will be used to charge the iPhone. (Translation: Denise)
