Cage
Double row angular contact ball bearings using stamped steel cages do not have a suffix for the cage.
The use of machined brass solid cages guided by steel balls is indicated by the most M after use. The suffix MA refers to the use of a brass solid cage bearing guided by the outer ring. Bearings using glass fiber reinforced polyamide 66 cages (suffix TVH or TVP) can be used for stable temperatures below 120 °C. If the bearings are oil lubricated, the additives in the oil may shorten the life of the cage. In addition, oils that age at high temperatures may also shorten the life of the bearings, so the oil change intervals must be strictly adhered to.
Allowable speed
Under the right working conditions, the bearing speed may be higher than the reference speed, but it is impossible to exceed the limit speed. When determining the heat allowable speed, the effects of the special working environment should be fully considered.
Heat treated FAG double row angular contact ball bearings can be operated continuously below 150 °C. If the cage uses a polyamide material, the operating temperature is limited by the cage. Sealed bearings are also subject to the requirements of the seals.
Sealed bearing
In addition to open double row angular contact ball bearings, double-sided ZR-type dust caps (non-contact seals) and double-sided angular contact ball bearings with RSR seals (contact seals) are also basic structures provided by FAG. form. This type of bearing is filled with high quality grease that has been rigorously tested by FAG in the manufacturing facility. Single-sided sealed bearings are also available upon request. The limit speed of the non-contact sealed bearing (suffix .2ZR) is lower than that of the open bearing.
