3 Features of Pro/INTRALINK
3.1 Connection to Pro/ENGINEER
Pro/ENGINEER can be connected to the Pro/INTRALINK workspace for product design work. After starting Pro/INTRALINK, select Pro/ENGINEER under the Start menu, specify a workspace, and start connecting to the specified workspace. It allows different members of the working group to perform product design work at the same time, that is, parallel design.
3.2 Pro/INTRALINK report
Pro/INTRALINK provides a set of standard reports to help users identify objects and their related members. Users can generate detailed reports on object relationships, versions, and attributes in the workspace, public area, and lookup area.
3.3 Connection to Pro/PDM
Pro/INTRALINK provides a range of mobile tools to move Pro/PDM version information to the public area database. These tools allow users to create a staging area for merging and analyzing multiple Pro/PDM databases. Database analysis can be repeated multiple times before moving data to Pro/INTRALINK.
3.4 Pro/INTRALINK Network Tools
The open Pro/INTRALINK architecture allows publishing of information in the public area database on a web browser and provides a range of search and reporting tools for this purpose. These tools include: hypertext link markup language templates, programs for generating searches and reports, and public gateway interfaces. Using the Pro/INTRALINK gateway, Pro/INTRALINK publishes part and part structure information and graphical information that can be viewed using ProductView to Windchill. In addition, Pro/INTRALINK's network tools can be linked to the company's internal network system, and the knowledge gained by the engineering team in the innovation process can be shared with different departments such as marketing, procurement and manufacturing.
4 Pro/INTRALINK implementation process
At present, our technology center uses Pro/INTRALINK to manage the electronic files of various technical materials.
4.1 Establishing the basic structure of the database
In order to facilitate management, we built a root folder in the server to manage various types of graphic files. Folders and subdirectories such as Chanpin (product library), Gongyi (process library), Lingbujianmulu (parts catalog), and Shangbaomulu (upper pattern catalog) with the motorcycle model as the main line are established in the root folder. Auxiliary directory folder Biaozhunjian (standard parts library), Tongyongshuju (general database) and so on.
4.2 Defining user related information
(1) Create a user account and password. The system administrator assigns different passwords to different users, and the user can change their own passwords at any time. Now we have set up user accounts and passwords for all designers and approvers.
(2) Working group definition. According to different work content, we divided 7 groups: CAD group, design group, product group, approval group, and WSL group, ZJL group and ZXQ group named after the project leader. Among them, the members of the last three groups and the design group are intertwined; the members of the product group are mainly crafts.
(3) The definition of roles and permissions. Based on the needs of the design department, we have set up five roles: Mamager Administrator, Supervisor Project Leader, Designer Designer, View Only Read-Only, and No Access without access.

(4) Different roles and permission settings for different folders. In the product development process, different project groups serve different development projects, so the roles and permissions are set for the folder named by the product model. For example, the folder for ML100ZK is completed by the ZJL group, the role of the project leader ZJL is Supervisor; the role of the project team member is Designer; the role of the WSL group, ZXQ group and product group is View Only; CAD group The role of the two members is Mamager. For other folders, except for the privilege of the Mamager, the roles and permissions of other members are changed accordingly, which can effectively prevent unintended or unauthorized modification of non-project members. This part of the work is done by the administrator.
4.3 Defining information about objects
(1) Object type. Mainly defined for all file types (*.asm, *.prt, *.drw, etc.) of Pro/ENGINEER, as well as some other format files (*.txt, *.tif, *.dxf, *.neu, etc.) . For object types not available in the system, it can be defined separately, that is, the encapsulation of the application software. At present, my technology center has packaged MDS2000 and Coreldraw and can manage data.
(2) Release level. According to the requirements of the design department, the pattern must go through three phases in the design cycle: design design phase, standard standardization phase and archive archiving phase.
(3) Revised edition.
(4) Dependency configuration.
(5) Attributes.
Includes: Cmass product quality, Cmat product material, Cname Chinese name, Drawnum product drawing number, Fsize frame, master model, revision, branch, creation, creation, release level, release plan, name, submodel, description, Folder, version, type name, and scope. With the above definition, we can select a property and operator and specify its value for quick lookup.

As mentioned above, Pro/INTRALINK simplifies the data management of engineers by ensuring the uniqueness, security and confidentiality of product data, thereby improving their work efficiency. It enables different members of the project team to simultaneously design products. And update the outdated information directly in the workspace, remind members to call the latest version of the file, you can also use the "integration" command to add changes made by different members to the same file, greatly improving product development speed and reducing error design. Designers can easily retrofit data with raw data, shorten design cycles, and quickly find the product image they need. The process department of the product group can quickly and easily utilize the design information of the design team with high accuracy. In short, Pro/INTRALINK not only enhances our design thinking and design tools, but also brings our management level to a new level.
