German Nanogate Launches Electrostatic Filter

Nanogate of Germany has recently developed PermaStatic, a new technology for adding static electricity to filter media, that is, adding a storage layer to the filter media to make it permanently static. The technology is to cover the surface of the fiber of the filter material with a storage layer below 100 nm, and to attract dust particles by electrostatic force, thereby improving the filtering performance without changing the fiber density. According to reports, this technology can also be used to replace filter media with high-performance media to improve filtration performance and maintain air permeability. Experiments showed that the static retention of the pre-treated polypropylene medium was 56.1%, the static retention of the polyester was 61.7%, and increased to 93% and 99.1% respectively after PermaStatic treatment.
