MBS bale moisture analyzer test test for moisture regain under cold conditions

MBS cotton moisture analyzer is a fast and convenient plug-in cotton moisture analyzer, which reduces the opening, sampling and sewing process, greatly improves the work efficiency, and avoids the pollution of cotton by opening the package, reducing the pollution. The effect of sampling of traditional inspection methods on the weight of cotton bales further ensures the objective and fairness of the inspection. As a new type of test instrument, in order to test the performance of the instrument under cold conditions, the test results are scientific, fair and efficient. In the Xinjiang Autonomous Region Fiber Inspection Bureau, Suzhou Guanghua Instrument Factory, Kuitun Junggar Cotton Industry Co., Ltd. and With the strong support of Xinjiang Xinmian Group, the relevant tests for the moisture regain rate of the cotton bag moisture analyzer were carried out. The specific tests are as follows.

1 test plan

1) At the processing site of the enterprise, 10 packs of cotton bales processed online are selected, and the weighing and sealing are sampled in the sampling window in time, and the moisture regain rate test is carried out by using an oven, and the test is carried out by using a cotton moisture analyzer. The accuracy of the test results of the test kit moisture tester was tested by the comparison of the moisture regain ratio between the oven and the cotton moisture analyzer.

2) Optional 1 pack of cotton, in the central fixed position of the bale head, use 3 sets of cotton moisture analyzer to carry out the moisture regain test, each instrument reads 3 times of data, take the average as the test result, test the moisture of the bale The stability of the test results of the tester.

3) Select 3 bags of cotton with similar weight (comparable cotton bales) and regain moisture regaining rate. Test the moisture in the morning, noon and afternoon with the same cotton moisture analyzer. Changes in test results at different temperatures.

2 test requirements

Place the bale moisture analyzer in the environment under the test bale for a sufficient time before testing. The purpose is to match the test temperature of the bale moisture analyzer with the cotton temperature.

3 test process

3.1 Comparison test of moisture moisture meter and oven test moisture regain

The moisture regain rate was measured by a cotton bag moisture analyzer, and the cotton inspection technician performed the test according to the operation instructions of the cotton bag moisture analyzer. The oven test is carried out by the cotton inspection technician in the timely manner of weighing and sealing at the edge of the enterprise cotton bag, and tested according to the "cotton moisture regain test method oven method" (GB/T6102.1-2006).

3.2 Three cotton bag moisture analyzer test the same cotton bale

Three instruments were randomly used by cotton inspection technicians. Three tests were performed at the center of the bale head, and the average was taken as the test result.

3.3 The same cotton bag moisture analyzer test different cotton bags at different time periods

The cotton inspection technicians select cotton bales with significantly different moisture regaining rates, and operate according to the instructions of the cotton moisture analyzer. In different time periods, three different tests are performed on different cotton bales, and each bale takes the average of three test results in the same period. As a result of the test of the bale during this period. The test temperature is the actual ambient temperature displayed by the instrument itself.  

4 test results

4.1 Comparison of moisture moisture meter and oven test moisture regain

The comparison results of the moisture moisture meter of the bale and the moisture regain of the oven test are shown in Table 1.

4.2 Comparison test of the same cotton bale by three cotton bales

The test results of the three cotton bales moisture meter for the same cotton bale are shown in Table 2.

4.3 Test of different cotton bales in different time zones of the same cotton bag moisture analyzer

The test results of different cotton bales in different time periods of the same cotton bag moisture analyzer are shown in Table 3.

5 results analysis and recommendations

5.1 Analysis of results

1) From the test results in Table 1, the difference between the test results of the cotton bag moisture analyzer and the oven for the moisture regain of 10 packs of cotton is 0.36%, which indicates that the test results of the bale moisture analyzer and the oven method are close to each other under cold environmental conditions. .

2) From the test results in Table 2, the test results of the same cotton bag moisture analyzer are 0.13% for the same cotton bag; the average difference between the three instruments for the same cotton bag test is 0.02%, indicating the moisture of the cotton bag. The test results of the tester are stable.

3) From the test results in Table 3: 3 packs of cotton are in the afternoon, the test value is larger, the morning test value is in the middle, and the test value at noon is smaller; the regain rate of the same bale tested in three different time periods is the largest. 0.64%, the minimum is 0.15%. Explain that different time periods (different temperatures) have an effect on the test results, but they are not obvious.

5.2 recommendations

1) Refit the temperature sensor from the handle at the probe

From the test results in Table 3, it is concluded that the moisture regain rate of the cotton bag with the test package number 100559 is 0.64% at different time intervals, that is, under the condition of the same net weight and impurity content, the converted profit rate is ±5.93‰. The difference is too large. Since the instrument temperature sensor is currently installed at the handle and the temperature is corrected for the ambient temperature, not the temperature inside the test pack, it is recommended that the temperature sensor be modified from the handle at the probe.

2) Improve the robustness of the insulation material and reduce the test error

The antistatic insulation coating of the two electrodes of the cotton moisture analyzer is not strong. The test time is long, the coating peels off, especially the machine picking cotton has more impurities, and it is easy to scratch the insulation coating, which affects the moisture regain test results. The reason is that the coating peels off, which is equivalent to the depth of the electrode inserted into the bale, only the length of the coating drop, the test depth is less than 10 to 15 cm, and the moisture regain of the test deviates from the true value. The outer wet cotton bag is mainly based on the moisture regain rate of the probe test (the cotton at the probe is large in moisture and strong in conductivity), and the insulation coating is off, which has little effect on the test results; The moisture regain rate of the insulation coating is mainly tested, and the probe is supplemented, which has a great influence on the test results. It is recommended to study stronger insulation materials as soon as possible to reduce test errors.
